The mission of the Community Action Committee (CAC) is to support carefully-selected community organizations with volunteer time, expertise, and money, invested in projects and programs led by King’s Chapel members.
CAC was established in April 2012, combining the former Social Action (SAC) and Charities & Appeals (C&A) committees. We were asked not just to reduce redundancy, but to create a new model. We have adopted a project structure, with projects proposed and led by a volunteer "champion" or project manager.
CAC will serve: (1) KC's partner organizations by using scarce resources for maximum impact; and (2) KC itself, by engaging all members and friends, as they are willing and able, in aspects of service to our wider community.
