The King's Chapel community are allies of the Black Lives Matter movement. While the King's Chapel community and History Program continue to address and discuss with the congregation and the public about systemic racism, we also recently installed a Black Lives Matter banner in front of the Chapel to accompany our Pride banner.
How can you engage? We started putting together a list of anti-racism resources on our website with a variety of ways to take action. By marching outside with the millions of international demonstrators, or by taking other actions while remaining sheltered at home because of COVID, God is now calling you. Please join us.

The Environmental Action Initiative grows out of the coming together of a group of King’s Chapel parishioners sharing deep concern about the climate crisis. With the support of the Adult Religious Education Committee, we started meeting in early 2020 and continue to share information, lively discussion, spiritual camaraderie and, most importantly, opportunities for taking action at the personal, local, national and international levels.
All are welcome to join our online discussion board and forum (link below), as well as our monthly meetings which focus on different climate-related topics. Follow King's Chapel on social media or sign up for the Between Sundays newsletter to receive updates, including notices about our monthly open meetings. |
