King's Chapel Parish House Rental Terms and Conditions

General Policies

Reservations will be considered complete when you receive an email or phone confirmation.

Single reservations will be considered confirmed at the time your paperwork and payment is received by King’s Chapel.

Multiple sessions should be paid no later than 24 hours prior to each session at the going rate unless another arrangement for payment has been discussed and approved by the Parish Administrator.

Events should be scheduled a minimum of two (2) weeks and a maximum of six (6) months prior to the date of the event.

The Society of King’s Chapel reserves the right to allow or refuse the use of its premises to groups or for functions at its discretion.

Groups using the Parish House are assigned a particular location and block of time, normally only the conference and living rooms on the 2nd floor. Additional usage may involve additional fees. The Little Chapel is not available for use by outside groups.

When reserving a space, please include time for any set up and/or clean up.

Please limit the use of parish phones and fax to emergencies, only within the 617 area and the use of “Line 1.” You are not permitted to use “Line 2.”

Events may not begin before 9:00 a.m. and must be concluded by 10:00 p.m.

Piano Usage: Although there is a piano on the 2nd Floor of the Parish House, King’s Chapel does not guarantee or certify that the piano is in working order, in tune, or performance ready.  Should you require the use of a piano, it is at your discretion to arrange a meeting to review the condition of the piano before your event.  If you wish, you can have the piano tuned, at your own personal cost and can make arrangements with the Parish Administrator to allow access during the Parish House’s operational hours.  King’s Chapel is not required to maintain the piano in working order.

Renters must be prepared to provide their own sound equipment, video cameras, VCRs, projectors or other equipment or make arrangements with the Parish Administrator to use the equipment belonging to King’s Chapel.  Although there is Wireless Internet at the Parish House and Electronic Equipment including but not limited to projectors, screens, and/or laptops for use by renters, King’s Chapel does not guarantee or certify that these technological items are in working order or that your group will have access to it for your event.  In the event your group does use King’s Chapel’s Electronic Equipment, it is imperative that the items be returned to where they are stored and in the same condition that you received them.  Should there be damage noted by a King’s Chapel Staff Member to any of the equipment, your organization will be responsible for replacing the item or the cost of its replacement value.  Notify the Parish Administrator should your organization require the use of King’s Chapel’s Electronic Equipment during your space rentals.

Building Use

There is no smoking in our building or on our grounds.  Please inform your guests that smoking is not allowed on the premises, entrance steps, or garden.

Do not leave the front door of the Parish House ajar or use items to keep it open such as bricks or blocks of wood.  The door may be damaged by inserting these types of items and leaving the door ajar creates potential safety and security risks.

Going out on to the fifth floor balcony is strictly prohibited at all times.

Nothing may be hung on or taped to any walls or woodwork.

King’s Chapel is not responsible for lost or damaged personal property.

Building users will be required to reimburse King’s Chapel for damage to the building or its contents caused by their guests or performers.

In case of an emergency please follow the instructions of the King’s Chapel staff members.

Parking behind the Parish House is limited to King’s Chapel staff only.  Do not park in the driveway as your vehicle will be towed.  Should you require the driveway to drop-off or pick-up items, use of the driveway must be approved by the Parish Administrator at least seven (7) days before your event.

Food and Beverages

If food is served, the kitchen and function rooms must be cleaned up after the event.

Groups must employ a caterer with liability insurance in order to use any kitchen appliances including the conventional or microwave ovens, stoves, or dishwashers and when serving wine or spirits.  The use of caterer must be discussed with and approved by the Parish Administrator at least one (1) week before the scheduled event.

Verification of caterer's liability insurance must be received at the time of application.

Fee Schedule

$200 ($50 per hour) for the first four hours (or any part thereof)

$400 for use longer than four and up to eight hours

These fees apply to the use of the front and rear reception rooms on the 2nd floor and use of the kitchen as needed or the fifth floor facilities.

An additional $35 per hour fee is charged for Parish House Verger coverage outside of regular operational hours of the Parish House (10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday).
