Shawn Michael Fiedler arrived to King’s Chapel as Assistant Minister in September of 2014. Prior to this position, Shawn served as Pastoral Fellow at Old South Church in Boston; located on Copley Square. Most recently, Shawn engaged in intentional volunteer service with the Episcopal Church in Seattle, Washington. Raised in the Roman Catholic tradition, Shawn has a deep and wide appreciation for worship—the heart of Christian life together. King’s Chapel unique worship life is a great fit: rooted in deep tradition, yet open to a God not yet done with the world.
Shawn is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and a native of Maryland. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Bridgewater State College (now Bridgewater State University), and a Master of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology.
As Assistant Minister, Shawn is involved in many areas of parish life, including Sunday Morning Prayer, Church School, Pastoral Care, and Adult Religious Education. Shawn also leads a monthly Theology on Tap—check the parish calendar for our next gathering.
When not at the Parish House, Shawn can be found exploring all things historic Boston has to offer, including the Museum of Fine Arts, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum, the Public Garden, Kayaking on the Charles River, and the Boston Harbor Islands. Contact Information
