Louis D. Brown Peace Institute
The Louis D. Brown Peace Institute (LDBPI) serves as an integral partner to the City of Boston and other cities across the country in transforming society’s response to homicide. They teach young people the value of peace, focus on the assets of community and support Survivors of Homicide Victims. Each May, they host a Mother's Day Walk for Peace to raise money and celebrate of our potential to create more peaceful communities. |
Unitarian Universalist Urban Ministry
Located at First Church in Roxbury, the Unitarian Universalist Urban Ministry (UUUM) provides ministry-at-large to disadvantaged youth and families in Boston, and offers people the opportunity for direct engagement with those struggling for fair and decent lives. Their Roxbury Youth Programs (RYP) serves high school aged youth during the school year with academic and enrichment programming. |
