Advent is a time of preparation. It’s a theme our service readings and discussions often point to at this busy time of year, when we may also be preparing to visit friends and welcome family into our homes for the holidays.
But there’s another, less obvious act of preparation occurring now at King’s Chapel: budget and program planning for the coming year. Our ministers, staff and volunteer leaders have worked hard to support ourspiritual growth and connection with the wider community with meaningful programs, events, and activities, both in-person and virtual.
The truth is, King’s Chapel can’t sustain its many, treasured offerings without you.Your Stewardshipmakes up an essential part of the church’s operating budget. As we make preparations for 2023, we must be confident that we can rely on this income before making hard choices that will impact our collective experience of King’s Chapel. We are close to meeting our $250,000 goal, but expenses for the year have exceeded our initial projections. Robust participation in Stewardship is the only way to close this gap – can you help?
We are thrilled that many have already stepped up and made a contribution this year, but in this inflationary environment where those dollars don’t go as far, we ask you to demonstrate your love for King’s Chapel and perhaps dig a little deeper.
There’s a lot to do before Christmas, we know, but we urge you to take a moment right now tomake your Stewardship gift online or put that check in the mail. Don’t wait – King’s Chapel is counting on you!
In peace, hope, love, and joy, Kathe German, Senior Warden Alison LaRosa, Stewardship Chair Dorie Seavey, Treasurer
